A comprehensive mobile app for Wisconsin anglers featuring fishing regulations, county-specific limits, species identification, and real-time fishing conditions.
The Challenge
Wisconsin anglers needed quick, reliable access to fishing regulations that change by county, species, and season. Existing resources were buried in lengthy PDF documents that were difficult to navigate on mobile devices while out on the water.
Our Approach
Fish WI was built as a native-feeling mobile experience using React Native. We structured the entire Wisconsin DNR fishing regulation dataset into a searchable, filterable interface organized by county and species. The app features an intuitive home screen with quick-access tiles, detailed county maps, and species-specific bag limits and size restrictions.
Results
The app became a go-to resource for Wisconsin anglers, providing instant access to regulations without cell service through offline caching. The clean, icon-driven interface made it easy to find information even in bright sunlight conditions.
