The Challenge
Pledge November needed a platform that could facilitate charitable giving during the month of November, connecting passionate participants with vetted charitable organizations. The platform required user accounts, pledge tracking, and transparent donation management.
Our Approach
We built the platform on Ruby on Rails with a PostgreSQL backend, enabling rapid development of complex features like participant dashboards, charity profiles, and donation tracking. Stripe integration handled secure payment processing, while the participant dashboard showed real-time progress toward fundraising goals.
Results
The platform successfully facilitated charitable pledges, providing participants with a gamified dashboard showing their impact and charities with a new channel for receiving donations. The contact and about pages ensured transparency and trust.
